Carters Margaritas 296x300 Stock up for the 4th Carters Select Margarita Mixes!It’s  time to celebrate Independence Day- and what better way than to quaff a frosty margarita while waiting for the burgers to cook?   Our friends at Austin-based Carter’s Select are making some fantastic margarita mixes that’ll light up your day like a roman candle!   

Made with all natural ingredients and pure cane sugar, Carter’s Select Margarita Mixes are available in Original, Prickly Pear and (my favorite!) Pineapple Jalapeno flavors.  You can make a regular margarita or a Mexican Martini with any of them.   Try this recipe:

Carter’s Margarita on the Rocks

1 oz tequila

1/2 oz. triple sec

3 oz. Carter’s Original Margarita Mix

Combine ingredients and add to a cocktail shaker.  Do a little dance and SHAKE!  Pour over ice in a cocktail glass- salt the rim if you like.  Garnish with a wedge of lime.
