Cookware

The proper cookware delivers better cooking performance and results.

Some tasks, like sauting, require fast heating, while others, like braising, are better suited to slow heat. Aluminum and Copper heat and cool quickly. Cast Iron takes a while to heat but maintains that heat evenly for a longer time. Stainless steel is usually paired with one of the more conductive metals like aluminum, and should be a part of any good cook's set. And let's not forget that having a good durable non-stick frying pan for eggs or bacon will make your life much easier! For a taste of the South, try cooking in a smoker- it's so easy and the flavors are amazing!
