Wusthof's limited edition Aeon 8 inch Chef Knife combines durability with handcrafted beauty. Forged from high-carbon stainless-steel, each knife is also coated with a scratch-resistant Diamond-Like Coating that naturally resists acids, liquids, and starch for clean slicing. The comfortable ergonomic Handle is individually handcrafted from an ancient bog oak for unparalleled durability. BOG OAK IS THE RAREST WOOD IN THE WORLD. Over thousands of years, bog oak gradually darkens, slowly turning from a light, golden brown wood into a lustrous, almost ebony-black color. Bog oak is a catch all name for partially fossilized wood.

Most used in the kitchen, the chef's knife is indispensable for a range of food prep tasks and offers the weight and balance for slicing through thick cuts of meat and larger vegetables. Includes blade care cloth and authenticity card certificate. Wusthof Aeon Series, limited to 1,500 pieces per blade shape, is a true masterpiece. Made in Germany.

Faraday's carries the top selling Wusthof Classic knife series. The Classic lines deliver great quality and offer a lifetime of true culinary performance. Manufactured in Solingen, Germany by a seventh generation family business that dates back to 1814, each knife is forged from one piece of specially tempered high carbon steel to ensure outstanding strength and extraordinary sharpness. The triple-riveted handles are made of synthetic material and have no seams, offering better hygiene. These knives are excellent for both professional chefs and home cooking enthusiasts, and are easy to maintain. Great knives for our meat eating friends here in Texas!

It is recommended that you hand-wash your knives with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse and dry the knives immediately after washing. We do NOT recommend using any knife but a German meat cleaver to cut through bones or frozen products, as other blades can easily be damaged. To best maintain the edge on your knife, you should follow a regular honing practice or maintain your blade with a recommended sharpener. Cutting on hard surfaces such as glass, stone or granite will damage blades. ALWAYS use caution when handling any knife.
