Faraday's Chef Encounters

Over the last 16 years, Faraday's has been blessed with some of Texas' Best Chefs, plus a few more from around America. Here are a few of our Chef Encounters...
Faraday's was touched by greatness! When Austin's legendary Executive Chef Jeff Blank of Hudson's on the Bend Restaurant, walked into our kitchen holding a venison back strap over his head, the crowd went wild.
Faraday's was delighted to welcome, National Television Chef & Cookbook Author Sara Moulton, who shared several recipes from her latest cookbook in front of a large crowd. She has returned to share her skill and years of experience with us several times over the years.

Austin-based Author and Canning Expert Kate Payne has taught canning classes several times at Faraday's and always astonishes us with her food knowledge and creativity!

Chef Tre Wilcox, of Top Chef and Top Chef All-Stars, showed off some real talent and skill during several workshops in Faraday's kitchen. Tony enjoyed some quality time with the Dallas Chef.

BBQ Pitmaster Rod Gray was in the house from Kansas City. Tony and Rod got to see who really has the biggest knife. (Sorry, Tony, Rod won.) Thanks to Victorinox Swiss Army Knives, customers enjoyed several Burnt End Workshops while tasting some of the best brisket ever!

We had a real treat for all you Coffee Lovers! Lina Ghambari, Professional Barista and 2014 United States Barista Champion, hosted our annual Coffeefest. Laila shared her espresso expertise while showing how easy it can be to make great coffee drinks at home.

One of our long-standing chefs, Katy Parker, has done over 200 cooking classes at Faraday's. She has been instrumental in helping us create all types of curriculum for both demonstration and hands-on classes, from kids to adults. Our cooking school wouldn't be what it is today without her participation.

Each year we are honored to have some of the best corporate chefs from across the United States come in and share their knowledge. Wüsthof's Executive Chef Mike Garaghty is truly one of our crowd favorites.

Executive Chef & Food Network Star Dzintra Dzenis, spent 20 years in Paris experiencing and learning different cuisines from around the world before hosting classes at Faraday's. Today she owns and operates Plate by Dzintra, a world class restaurant in the same center as Faraday's. Here's Sharon, our store manager, and Blakely, our merchandiser, hanging out with Dzintra.
