Faraday’s Kitchen Store Cooking School hosts both demonstration-style and hands-on Cooking Classes throughout the year supporting the Bee Cave, Lake Travis and Austin areas of Texas. Working in a modern, professional kitchen, you’ll be inspired by our talented, creative chefs who will demonstrate techniques and give you the skills needed to prepare simple, delicious meals at home. A light meal is provided with each class. 

Classes range from 12 to 14 students per class, and each space is sold in advance on a first come, first serve basis. If classes are full, we will be happy to add you to our waiting list. Most Classes are two hours in length, unless otherwise detailed within the class description.

Sunday, October 2nd, 1-4 pm.
Hands-On Pizza Making Class with Chef Daniele Panella! In this class, you'll learn to make the perfect Italian pizza crust for both thick and thin styles. We will then make a Margherita Pizza with Basil, Tomato and Fresh Mozzarella; a Tex-Italian Pizza with Sausage, Jalapenos, Red Pepper, Onion and Oaxaca Cheese; and a tasty Nutella dessert pizza. You'll enjoy a family-style meal, and get all the recipes to take home with you. You'll definitely be as stuffed as a calzone when this class is over! The cost for this partially hands-on class is $69 per person.

Wednesday, October 5th, 6-8 pm.
Filipino Flavors with Chef Daniel Castro! Filipino food today has been shaped by history. Consisting of more than 7,500 islands, The Philippines is a wildly diverse country with culinary influence from literally hundreds of sources, including China, Spain and the Americas. In this demonstration class, Chef Daniel will teach you to prepare several dishes from his home. The menu includes: Lumpia (a Crispy Fried Spring Roll) with Banana Ketchup; Kare-Kare (Beef with Peanut and Lemongrass Curry), served with Bok Choy and Eggplant; and for dessert, Mango Royale, a classic Filipino dessert. The cost for this demonstration class is $59 per person.

Thai Cooking Class with Chef Uyen Pham! Learn to cook delicious Thai specialties at home. Thai cuisine is a simple but clever combination of Eastern and Western influences. Sweet, sour, salty, bitter and spicy flavours work together to make each dish come to life. Menu includes: Thai Grilled Beef Salad; Shrimp Pad Thai; and for dessert, Coconut Sorbet with Banana Brulee. The cost for this demonstration class is $59 per person.

Exotic Morocco with Chef Demeatrie Funderburk! Let Chef Demeatrie whisk you away to the Kingdom of Morocco. (Yes, that's its official name!) Moroccan cuisine is considered one of the most diverse cuisines in the world, as a result of the centuries-long interaction of Morocco with the outside world. You'll find a fusion of Moorish, European and Mediterranean cuisines there, with a hearty dose of spices. Your menu for this class includes: Harira (Chickpea Soup); Lamb Meatball Tagine with Couscous and Date-Tomato Sauce; and for dessert, Halwa Chebakia (Sesame and Honey Cookies). Super-Good Soups with Adam Wiznewski! It's getting cooler, and soup weather approaches! In this demonstration class, Cooking Instructor Adam will teach you to make two delicious soups, as well as a lovely bread for sopping up all the yummy broth. The menu includes: Quick Italian Focaccia Bread, perfect for when you don't have a lot of time; Salmon and Wild Rice Chowder, and a hearty Beef and Vegetable Soup. A Salute to Czech Heritage with Chef Demeatrie Funderburk!
Did you know that there are nearly 200,000 Czech-Americans living in Texas- more than any other state? No wonder Kolaches are the unofficial State breakfast pastry! But there's so much more to Czech cuisine than that... let Chef Demeatrie show you! A Tribute to Trickery- "Hocus Pocus" -themed Cooking Class with Chef Demeatrie Funderburk! If your favorite Halloween movie is "Hocus Pocus", do we have a treat for you! Cake Balls and Truffles with Chef Heidi Wittenborn! These tasty treats make delicious offerings at parties and wonderful gifts. Chef Heidi will be demonstrating the basic techniques for both and some unique ice cream truffles as well. Come join her for some tips and tricks to making these simple yet elegant desserts. Elevated Holiday Side Dishes with Chef Heidi Wittenborn! Every family has certain traditional dishes that must be on the table at a holiday meal. This class focuses on some classics and puts a new spin on them. Dishes include Not Your Mother’s Green Bean Casserole (no canned mushroom soup in sight), Orange Bourbon Twice Baked Sweet Potatoes, Stained Glass Jello and Cranberry Mango Relish. And for good measure we’re throwing in a dish you may want to add to your traditions – Cauliflower in Spinach and Bacon Custard. The cost for this demonstration class is $59 per person.

Painted Cookies with Chef Heidi Wittenborn! Learn to make and decorate unforgettably special holiday cookies. Enjoy a relaxing morning painting cookies to give as gifts- or keep them all for yourself. We won’t judge! You’ll get recipes for the cookie dough and icing, learn how to prepare your cookie “canvas” and be able to experiment with different ways of applying food coloring paint to cookies. The cost for this hands-on class is $49 per person.

Gingerbread House Decorating with Chef Heidi Wittenborn! Decorate A Gingerbread House in Your Own Unique Style with Chef Heidi Wittenborn's guidance! Architectural Digest, here we come- We’ll provide the gingerbread house and everything you need to decorate it, you’ll take home your own masterpiece to share with family and friends. Chef Heidi will demonstrate basic piping techniques you can use to add some fun flourishes to your house if you wish, as well as provide all the candies and decoratifs your dream house needs. The cost for this hands-on class is $49 per person. This is a fun class to take with your kids!

Faraday’s Class Cancellation Policy

We understand that life happens and emergencies do occur.  However, we also hope you understand our commitment to all of our students and the preparation that goes into creating a successful class.  For this reason, we ask that if you are unable to attend a class, you must notify us 72 hours in advance of the scheduled class time to receive a refund or credit towards another class.  Within 72 hours of a class, all cancellations are non-refundable (even if someone else gave this class to you as a gift).  If you cannot attend a scheduled class, we encourage you to send someone in your place.  In this case, please call ahead and notify us of the participant change. Reservations for groups of 5 or more require 7-day notice of cancellation for a refund.

Faraday’s Kitchen Store reserves the right to cancel classes. In that event, we will notify you and provide a full refund or credit. All classes are held in our store at 12918 Shops Parkway, Suite 540, Bee Cave, TX 78738.
