Faraday’s Kitchen Store Cooking School hosts both demonstration-style and hands-on Cooking Classes throughout the year supporting the Bee Cave, Lake Travis and Austin areas of Texas. Working in a modern, professional kitchen, you’ll be inspired by our talented, creative chefs who will demonstrate techniques and give you the skills needed to prepare simple, delicious meals at home. A light meal is provided with each class.

Classes range from 12 to 16 students per class, and each space is sold in advance on a first come, first serve basis. If classes are full, we will be happy to add you to our waiting list. Most Classes are two hours in length, unless otherwise detailed within the class description.

Wednesday, May 21, 6-8 pm. 
A Decadent Delight- Fried Chicken and Waffles with Chef Queenie Dubose! Join Chef Queenie for a mouthwatering cooking class where she'll take comfort food to the next level! She will teach you to make crispy, golden fried chicken, perfectly fluffy maple bacon waffles, and a decadent infused strawberry shortcake. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned home cook, this class is a delicious way to elevate your skills and indulge in the ultimate sweet-and-savory experience! The cost for this demonstration class is $59 per person.

Saturday, May 24th, 5-8 pm. 
Spring Italian Seafood! Hands-on Class with Chef Jenna Rasmussen. Join us for a hands-on Italian cooking experience celebrating fresh spring flavors! You'll work in the kitchen with Chef Jenna to prepare Pesce al Cartoccio, a delicate white fish steamed in parchment with a bold Puttanesca-style sauce, served over Israeli couscous. For dessert, we’ll indulge in decadent double chocolate cakes. When the cooking is done, you'll enjoy a family-style meal. Come cook, learn, and savor the best of Italian seafood cuisine! The cost for this hands-on class is $79 per person.

Sunday, May 25th, 1-4 pm.
Hands-On Pizza Making Class with Chef Daniele Panella! In this class, you'll learn to make the perfect Italian pizza crust for both thick and thin styles. We will then make a Margherita Pizza with Basil, Tomato and Fresh Mozzarella; a Tex-Italian Pizza with Sausage, Jalapenos, Red Pepper, Onion and Oaxaca Cheese; and a tasty Nutella dessert pizza. You'll enjoy a family-style meal, and get all the recipes to take home with you. You'll be as stuffed as a calzone when this class is over! The cost for this partially hands-on class is $79 per person.

Wednesday, May 28th, 6 - 8:30pm
Roadmap for a Perfect Summer Picnic with Chef Heidi Wittenborn! Whether you’re hiking the trail to your favorite spot, packing a cooler for the lake, or headed to the park for a day of Frisbee golf, this picnic feast will be the perfect accompaniment. Chef Heidi will be packing her picnic basket with Southwestern Oven Fried Chicken, Puttanesca Bean and Tomato Salad,  Southwestern Potato Salad, and yummy Scotcheroos for a sweet finish that will make you a happy camper. The cost for this demonstration class is $59 per person.

Thursday, May 29th, 6-9 pm.
Join Chef Daniele Panella for a HANDS-ON Pasta Making class! You'll work in the kitchen with the chef to make two kinds of pasta with sauces. Menu for this class includes: Spinach Ravioli with Lemon-scented Ricotta and Sage Butter Sauce, Busara-style Gnocchi, and for dessert, the chef will prepare Ricotta and Strawberry Parfaits. When the cooking is done, you'll enjoy a family-style meal and get all the recipes to take home with you. The cost for this hands-on class is $79 per person.

Flavors of the Philippines with Chef Uyen Pham! Filipino cuisine is a unique blend of flavors and influences from various cultures, due to centuries of trade and colonization. Enjoy a delicious meal featuring some classic dishes as our chef prepares crispy Lumpia with sweet chili garlic sauce, savory Pancit Bihon (Stir-fried Rice Noodles), and chewy coconut Bibingka (Mochi Cake). Summer Flavor Explosion! Hands-on Class with Chef Jenna Rasmussen. Summer's here and Chef Jenna is bringing the fun! Join her in this class where you'll be cooking up  the fresh, exciting flavors for the dinner table. You'll work in small teams to prepare: Chili Lime Pork Chops with Pineapple Ginger Chow and Quinoa, and for dessert, Lemon Posset with fresh Raspberries and buttery Pine Nut Cookies. The cost for this hands-on class is $69 per person.

Saturday, June 7th, 11 am to 1:30 pm
Tex-Mex Classics with Chef Heidi Wittenborn! You don’t have to go out when you’re jonesing for Tex-Mex! In this fun class, Chef Heidi will teach you how to make great beef enchiladas, refried beans, and Spanish rice as well as tacos and guacamole for the perfect Combo Plate #1. Add an ice-cold Mexican beer and you have a great meal. (All of our classes are BYOB!) Even better, you can make more than you need and freeze it for another round. Everything- including the guacamole- will freeze beautifully. The cost for this demonstration class is $59 per person.

Cool Dishes to Beat the Heat! with Chef Heidi Wittenborn. When the heat is on, keep your cool with a refreshing lineup of summer-ready dishes! In this class, Chef Heidi will show you how to create bold and vibrant Dang Cold Asian Noodle Salad; a crisp and elegant Shrimp Louie Salad; creamy and satisfying Classic Chicken Salad; zesty, flavor-packed Texas Caviar; and for a sweet finish, a show-stopping Giant Berry Shortcake, bursting with fresh fruit and whipped cream. Sunday, June 22nd, 1-4 pm. 
Thai II Cooking Class with Chef Uyen Pham. It's time to expand your Thai food cooking repertoire! In this class, Chef Pham will teach you to make three more delicious Thai specialties: Laab Gai (Thai lettuce wraps); Pad Kee Mao “Drunken Noodles”; and a Green Chicken Curry. It's a great follow-up to our Thai I class, but it's also a perfect intro to Thai food! The cost for this demonstration class is $59 per person.



Faraday’s Class Cancellation Policy

We understand that life happens, and emergencies do occur.  However, we also hope you understand our commitment to all of our students and the preparation that goes into creating a successful class.  For this reason, we ask that if you are unable to attend a class, you must notify us at least 72 hours in advance of the scheduled class time to receive a refund or credit towards another class.  If it is less than 72 hours before a class, all cancellations are non-refundable (even if someone else gave this class to you as a gift).  If you cannot attend a scheduled class, we encourage you to send someone in your place.  In this case, please call ahead and notify us of the participant change. Reservations for groups of 5 or more require 7-day notice of cancellation for a refund.

Faraday’s Kitchen Store reserves the right to cancel classes. In that event, we will notify you and provide a full refund or credit. All classes are held in our store at 12918 Shops Parkway, Suite 540, Bee Cave, TX 78738.
