Faraday’s Kitchen Store Cooking School hosts both demonstration-style and hands-on Cooking Classes throughout the year supporting the Bee Cave, Lake Travis and Austin areas of Texas. Working in a modern, professional kitchen, you’ll be inspired by our talented, creative chefs who will demonstrate techniques and give you the skills needed to prepare simple, delicious meals at home. A light meal is provided with each class.
Classes range from 12 to 14 students per class, and each space is sold in advance on a first come, first serve basis. If classes are full, we will be happy to add you to our waiting list. Most Classes are two hours in length, unless otherwise detailed within the class description.

If you have any dietary restrictions, please call us and ask if they can be accommodated BEFORE registering for class. We cannot guarantee that chefs will be able to make last minute changes or cook separate portions for special needs.

Learn to cook delicious Thai specialties at home with Chef Uyen Pham! Menu includes: Thai Grilled Beef Salad; Shrimp Pad Thai; and for dessert, Coconut Sorbet with Banana Brulee. Hands-On Pizza Making Class with Chef Daniele Panella! In this class, you'll learn to make the perfect Italian pizza crust for both thick and thin styles. We will then make several pizzas which may include a Margherita Pizza with Basil, Tomato and Fresh Mozzarella; a Tex-Italian Pizza with Sausage, Jalapenos, Red Pepper, Onion and Oaxaca Cheese; or Prosciutto with Gorgonzola; and we'll make a tasty Nutella dessert pizza. You'll enjoy a family-style meal, and get all the recipes to take home with you. You'll definitely be as stuffed as a calzone when this class is over! Brisket Class with Chef Kareem! Learn to make World-Class Texas Brisket on your Smoker. Chef Kareem El Ghayesh will teach you how to choose the right brisket at the store, how to prep, rub, cook, rest, and slice the perfect brisket. Menu includes: Prime Central Texas Style Brisket, Homemade Pickled Vegetables, and Egyptian-style Mac & Cheese. Cooking will be demonstrated on the Green Mountain Grill, but the techniques used can be applied to any smoker. Masks are required during class when you are not actively eating or drinking. A Sampler of Belgian Delights with Chef Demeatrie Funderburk! Belgian cuisine draws its influences from French, German, and Dutch kitchens and is acknowledged as being among the best in Europe. In fact, it is sometimes said that Belgian food is served in the quantity of German cuisine but with the quality of French food. Let's see if that's true, in this class with Chef Demeatrie! The menu for this class includes: Belgian Endive Salad; Moules Frites (Mussels with Fried Potatoes- the National Dish of Belgium!) and for dessert, authentic Belgian Waffles with Fresh Fruit. A Fall Tex-Italian Feast with Chef Daniele Panella! Fall is officially here, and with it all the delicious fall foods we love! The menu for this Autumnal delight includes: Fall Cappuccino: Butternut Squash Soup with Ricotta Quenelle, Roasted Beet Jam and Pecans; Maiale al Latte: Milk-braised Pork Tenderloin with Apple Fritters; and for dessert, Fomaggio e Pere: Goat Cheese and Pear Crostata. Asian Sauces Class with Chef Uyen Pham! Chef Pham will teach you the secrets to making some delicious Asian Sauces. Menu includes: Seared Tofu Satay, with Thai Satay Peanut Sauce; Vietnamese Chicken and Cabbage Salad, with Vietnamese Nuoc Cham Sauce; Wok Fired Yakisoba Noodles with Japanese Yakisoba Sauce; and Spicy Wings with Korean Barbecue Sauce. Hands-On Sushi Making Class with Chef Daniel Castro! Learn the secrets to making beautiful sushi rolls. This hands-on class with Chef Dan Castro will cover a brief history of sushi in Japan; how to make your sushi rice; the equipment you'll need; how to cut your fish and basic knife cuts; and you'll make three different kinds of rolls: Negihama, with Hamachi, Scallions and Ponzu; California Roll with Crab, Avocado and Cucumber; and a Handroll with Spicy Scallops and fish. A Polish Treat with Chef Demeatrie Funderburk! The cuisine of Poland is often an unexpected highlight of many people’s European trip, thanks to the country’s food culture that's every bit as rich as other European nations. Many of the best Polish foods are rich, meaty, and packed with flavor. Chef Demeatrie brings us a Polish menu that you'll love. Your meal includes: Zurek (Soured Rye Soup); Golumpki (Stuffed Cabbage Rolls), made with Ground Beef, Bulgur, Sesame Seeds and Golden Raisins; and for dessert, Sliwka Naleczowska (Candied Dried Plums in Dark Chocolate). Faraday’s Class Cancellation Policy
We understand that life happens and emergencies do occur. However, we also hope you understand our commitment to all of our students and the preparation that goes into creating a successful class. For this reason, we ask that if you are unable to attend a class, you must notify us 72 hours in advance of the scheduled class time to receive a refund or credit towards another class. Within 72 hours of a class, all cancellations are non-refundable (even if someone else gave this class to you as a gift). If you cannot attend a scheduled class, we encourage you to send someone in your place. In this case, please call ahead and notify us of the participant change. Reservations for groups of 5 or more require 7-day notice of cancellation for a refund.
