Faraday’s Kitchen Store Cooking School hosts both demonstration-style and hands-on Cooking Classes throughout the year supporting the Bee Cave, Lake Travis and Austin areas of Texas. Working in a modern, professional kitchen, you’ll be inspired by our talented, creative chefs who will demonstrate techniques and give you the skills needed to prepare simple, delicious meals at home. A light meal is provided with each class.

Classes range from 12 to 16 students per class, and each space is sold in advance on a first come, first serve basis. If classes are full, we will be happy to add you to our waiting list. Most Classes are two hours in length, unless otherwise detailed within the class description.

Saturday, February 15, 5-7 pm.
The Secret's in the Sauce! Amazing Asian Sauces with Chef Uyen Pham. Learn the secrets to making your at-home dishes taste like they came from your favorite restaurant with some delicious Asian Sauces. Menu includes: Seared Tofu Satay, with Thai Satay Peanut Sauce; Vietnamese Chicken and Cabbage Salad, with Vietnamese Nuoc Cham Sauce; Wok Fired Yakisoba Noodles with Japanese Yakisoba Sauce; and Spicy Wings with Korean Barbecue Sauce. The cost for this demonstration cooking class is $65 per person.

Timeless Elegance: Surf & Turf with Chef Heidi Wittenborn! Join Chef Heidi for a demonstration of her favorite surf and turf, Filet Richard from The Courtyard, an iconic restaurant from Austin's past. Filet Richard is a perfect pairing of tender Filet Mignon and succulent Shrimp with delicate artichoke bottoms and a creamy Béarnaise Sauce. Dining at Delmonico’s with Chef Heidi Wittenborn! Step back in time to the elegance and grandeur of Delmonico’s, the first restaurant in New York, established in 1837 and the birthplace of iconic dishes like Eggs Benedict, Lobster Newburg, and Baked Alaska. Known for hosting luminaries like Mark Twain, Teddy Roosevelt, Nikola Tesla, and Oscar Wilde, Delmonico’s set the gold standard for fine dining. In this demonstration, Chef Heidi will recreate the magic with a classic Wedge Salad topped with creamy Bleu Cheese Dressing, a perfectly cooked Delmonico Steak crowned with Lobster Newburg, and the legendary Delmonico’s Potatoes. The Essence of the Hawaiian Islands with Chef Jerry Pizzitola! Join us for an exciting island-inspired cooking class where you'll learn to prepare a delicious Hawaiian menu. Watch as Chef Jerry demonstrates how to make refreshing Tuna Poke, fragrant Jasmine Rice, traditional Poi, tender Kalua Pig (No need to dig a hole in your yard, this one goes in the oven!), and creamy Haupia for dessert. How to make World-Class Brisket on your Smoker with KG BBQ's Chef Kareem El-Ghayesh.  He's back! Chef Kareem, 2023 James Beard Award semifinalist, Competitor on Netflix show Barbeque Showdown, Owner-Chef of KG BBQ, and all-around great guy, will teach you how to choose the right brisket at the store, how to prep, rub, cook, rest, and slice the perfect brisket. Menu includes: Prime Central Texas Style Brisket, Homemade Pickled Vegetables, and Egyptian-style Mac & Cheese. The techniques you'll learn can be applied to any type of smoker. The cost for this demonstration cooking class is $79 per person.

Let's head to Sunny Spain with Chef Jerry Pizzitola! Mmm... Tapas, paella and good company, what could be better?  Chef Jerry will teach you to make Melon con Jamon, Patatas Aioli, Grilled Eggplant in Tomato Vinaigrette, Paella Valenciana with Chicken and Shrimp, and for a sweet finish, Chocolate Orange Pots de Creme! The cost for this demonstration class is $69 per person.

Saturday, March 8th, 10-11 am OR 12-1 pm

Dueling Grills, Chicken Edition! with Chef Jerry Pizzitola. What really tastes better, food grilled on a Gas Grill or a Charcoal Grill? You'll find out, in this fun Dueling Grills workshop! Chef Jerry Pizzitola will teach you to make two delicious grilled chicken dishes- Honey Garlic Asian Chicken, and Mediterranean Chicken, as well as a side dish- while teaching you to cook the perfect moist, delicious chicken breast. One dish will be cooked on the gas grill, one on our Big Green Egg, then you'll be able to decide for yourself which grill really produces the best flavor.  You'll get sample-sized portions of each dish to try. The cost for this fun one-hour demonstration class is just $25 per person.

Sunday, March 9th, 1-3 pm
Italian Pasta Dishes that Deserve More Love! with Chef Jerry Pizzitola. We're all accustomed to the usual pasta dishes like Spaghetti with Marinara, Baked Ziti or Ravioli. But there are so many less-well-known pasta dishes to try! In this class, Chef Jerry will prepare three pasta dishes you've probably never heard of- but definitely should. You'll enjoy Pasta Alla Norma (with Sweet Tomato Sauce and Fried Eggplant); Papalina, or Pope's Pasta, a Sicilian twist on Carbonara; and the delightfully named Spaghetti all'Assassina, or Killer Spaghetti- Fried Pasta cooked in Tomato Broth. These will be served with Italian Chopped Salad and for dessert, Frittelle with Espresso Gelato. The cost for this demonstration class is $69 per person.

Faraday’s Class Cancellation Policy

We understand that life happens, and emergencies do occur.  However, we also hope you understand our commitment to all of our students and the preparation that goes into creating a successful class.  For this reason, we ask that if you are unable to attend a class, you must notify us at least 72 hours in advance of the scheduled class time to receive a refund or credit towards another class.  If it is less than 72 hours before a class, all cancellations are non-refundable (even if someone else gave this class to you as a gift).  If you cannot attend a scheduled class, we encourage you to send someone in your place.  In this case, please call ahead and notify us of the participant change. Reservations for groups of 5 or more require 7-day notice of cancellation for a refund.

Faraday’s Kitchen Store reserves the right to cancel classes. In that event, we will notify you and provide a full refund or credit. All classes are held in our store at 12918 Shops Parkway, Suite 540, Bee Cave, TX 78738.
