Faraday’s Kitchen Store Cooking School hosts both demonstration-style and hands-on Cooking Classes throughout the year supporting the Bee Cave, Lake Travis and Austin areas of Texas. Working in a modern, professional kitchen, you’ll be inspired by our talented, creative chefs who will demonstrate techniques and give you the skills needed to prepare simple, delicious meals at home. A light meal is provided with each class. 

Classes range from 12 to 14 students per class, and each space is sold in advance on a first come, first serve basis. If classes are full, we will be happy to add you to our waiting list. Most Classes are two hours in length, unless otherwise detailed within the class description.

Thai Cooking Class with Chef Uyen Pham! Learn to cook delicious Thai specialties at home with Chef Pham! Menu includes: Thai Grilled Beef Salad; Shrimp Pad Thai; and for dessert, Coconut Sorbet with Banana Brulee. The cost for this demonstration class is $59 per person.

Backyard Burger Bash with Chef Heidi Wittenborn! A backyard burger feast is just the thing to celebrate any day. Chef Heidi will teach you to make the perfect burger patty. To go with the burger, we’ll make Cowboy Beans and Baked Potato Salad. Finally, we’ll show you how make a few special sauces and toppings to set up a gourmet burger bar so everyone can build the burger of their dreams. The cost for this demonstration class is $59 per person.

Saturday, July 27th, 11 am to 1 pm.
Fresh, Light and Healthy Summer Flavors with Chef Domonique Liddell! One key to staying cool in hot, hot weather is to eat lighter meals. Chef Domo brings us a summer meal that will leave you satisfied without weighing you down! Menu includes: Grilled Shrimp Peach Burrata Salad with Fresh Balsamic Glaze; Gluten-free Risotto Balls with Mozzarella and Marinara; and Garlic Butter Croissants. The cost for this delicious lunch demonstration class is $59 per person.

Saturday, July 27, 5-8 pm.
An Indian Feast for a Hot Night! Hands-on Class with Chef Jenna Rasmussen. Indian food is wonderful for hot weather, with its spicy foods and cooling side dishes. In this class you'll work in the kitchen with Chef Jenna to prepare: Shakshuka, a flavorful entree that can be served as breakfast or dinner. It's a rich, spicy, tomato sauce with ground meat (we'll use lamb), topped with runny eggs and served with homemade naan. Served with crisp cucumbers and raita sauce for dipping, the perfect combination. Finish off with a cool refreshing mango lassi, it's *chef's kiss*! The cost for this hands-on class is $69 per person.

Hands-On Pasta Making Class with Chef Daniele Panella! You'll work in the kitchen with the chef to make two kinds of pasta with sauces. Menu for this class includes: Fettuccine Mare e Monti alla Marchigiana, Gnocchi Parmigiana, and for dessert, the chef will prepare Ricotta and Strawberry Parfaits. When the cooking is done, you'll enjoy a family-style meal, and get all the recipes to take home with you. The cost for this hands-on class is $79 per person.

Yummy Ice Box Pies with Chef Heidi Wittenborn! Ice Box Pies may be retro, but they're a great summer dessert solution as many of them need little or no baking- meaning no oven heating up your kitchen! Chef Heidi will Be making four different ice box desserts, including southern Cherry Yum Yum; an elegant Mango Royale; tangy Lemon Ice Box Pie; and a rich Black Bottom Ice Box Pie. You'll be the star of any get-together when you bring any of these to the table! The cost for this demonstration class is $59 per person.

Sunday, August 4, 1-4 pm.
Hands-On Pizza Making Class with Chef Daniele Panella! In this class, you'll learn to make the perfect Italian pizza crust for both thick and thin styles. We will then make a Margherita Pizza with Basil, Tomato and Fresh Mozzarella; a Tex-Italian Pizza with Sausage, Jalapenos, Red Pepper, Onion and Oaxaca Cheese; and a tasty Nutella dessert pizza. You'll enjoy a family-style meal, and get all the recipes to take home with you. You'll be as stuffed as a calzone when this class is over! The cost for this partially hands-on class is $79 per person.

Cool Desserts from your Freezer with Chef Heidi Wittenborn! The hotter it gets, the better something cold, creamy and sweet sounds. Sometimes dessert is all the meal you need! Chef Heidi has you covered with Filipino Mango Float, which isn't a float like you're thinking of at all; Mom's Ice Cream Cake (yes, her mom taught her this versatile cake!); "Design your Own" Ice Box Pie; and the aptly named Corsetiere's Despair. The cost for this demonstration class is $59 per person.

Summer Dinner Salads with Chef Heidi Wittenborn! Light but filling, these dinner salads are perfect for dining on the deck. Add some iced tea, a glass of wine or a beer, and dinner is served! Chef Heidi will be making Antipasto Pasta Salad, a Southwestern Cobb Salad with spicy Avocado Dressing; Shrimp Salad Nicoise, and Yum Nua (Thai Beef Salad), one of Chef Heidi's favorites! Faraday’s Class Cancellation Policy

We understand that life happens, and emergencies do occur.  However, we also hope you understand our commitment to all of our students and the preparation that goes into creating a successful class.  For this reason, we ask that if you are unable to attend a class, you must notify us at least 72 hours in advance of the scheduled class time to receive a refund or credit towards another class.  If it is less than 72 hours before a class, all cancellations are non-refundable (even if someone else gave this class to you as a gift).  If you cannot attend a scheduled class, we encourage you to send someone in your place.  In this case, please call ahead and notify us of the participant change. Reservations for groups of 5 or more require 7-day notice of cancellation for a refund.

Faraday’s Kitchen Store reserves the right to cancel classes. In that event, we will notify you and provide a full refund or credit. All classes are held in our store at 12918 Shops Parkway, Suite 540, Bee Cave, TX 78738.
