Faraday’s Kitchen Store Cooking School hosts both demonstration-style and hands-on Cooking Classes throughout the year supporting the Bee Cave, Lake Travis and Austin areas of Texas. Working in a modern, professional kitchen, you’ll be inspired by our talented, creative chefs who will demonstrate techniques and give you the skills needed to prepare simple, delicious meals at home. A light meal is provided with each class. 

Classes range from 12 to 15 students per class, and each space is sold in advance on a first come, first serve basis. If classes are full, we will be happy to add you to our waiting list. Most Classes are two hours in length, unless otherwise detailed within the class description.

Wednesday, February 8th, 6-8 pm
Filipino Flavors with Chef Daniel Castro! Filipino food today has been shaped by history. Consisting of more than 7,500 islands, The Philippines is a wildly diverse country with culinary influence from literally hundreds of sources, including China, Spain and the Americas. In this demonstration class, Chef Daniel will teach you to prepare several dishes from his home. The menu includes: Lumpia (a Crispy Fried Spring Roll) with Banana Ketchup; Kare-Kare (Beef with Peanut and Lemongrass Curry), served with Bok Choy and Eggplant; and for dessert, Mango Royale, a classic Filipino dessert. The cost for this demonstration class is $59 per person.

Celebrating Chinese New Year with Chef Uyen Pham! Welcome, Year of the Rabbit! People born in a year of the Rabbit are believed to be vigilant, witty, quick-minded, and ingenious. We're celebrating this Chinese (Lunar) New Year with Chef Uyen Pham. The menu for this indulgent feast includes: Crispy Spring Rolls; Sweet-Chili Garlic Sauce Pork & Ginger Dumplings with Sesame-Soy Dipping Sauce; and Wok-fired Egg Noodles w/Shrimp and Steamed Scallion-Ginger Fish. Valentine's Day Chocolate Menu with Chef Demeatrie Funderburk! Celebrate Valentine's Day with this class that will show you that chocolate isn't just for dessert. Chef Demeatrie will prepare a flavorful menu, including: Caramelized Figs with Dark Chocolate, Goat Cheese, Bacon and Candied Orange; Coffee and Mexican Chocolate-crusted Ribeye with Stout Beurre Blanc; and for dessert, Strawberry and Oat Crisp with classic Chocolate Sauce and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. Asian Braisin'! with Adam Wisnewski. Classic braised dishes are nothing new to us- think of Osso Buco, Chicken Cacciatore or Beef Bourguignon. It's a great way to cook tougher, more affordable cuts of meat. But did you know that Asian cooking also uses this technique extensively? Join Cooking Instructor Adam Wiz as he teaches you to prepare Manila Chicken; Soy Braised Short Ribs, and for dessert, Dango (Simmered sweet rice balls). A Salute to Brazilian Carnivale with Chef Demeatrie Funderburk! No Samba dancing or feathered headdress is necessary for this class commemorating the Rio Carnivale (but you can wear one if you really want)! Enjoy some delicious traditional Brazilian treats with Chef Demeatrie. Brunch Forever with Adam Wisnewski!  Why is Brunch the best meal?  Let us count the ways...

An Exotic Tanzanian Feast with Chef Demeatrie Funderburk! There's a rich diversity in Tanzanian cuisine, owing to the more than 100 different ethnic groups in the country. But you'll find that most meals will contain all or some of the following three ingredients: Coconut, Beans and Plantains. The magic comes from the huge variety of seasonings used. The menu for this class includes: Chipsi Maya (Popular as street food, it's a French Fry Omelette- sounds crazy, but it's delicious!); Mshikaki- skewered pieces of marinated meat that is traditionally slow cooked over hot coals; Ugali- the national dish of Tanzania, similar to polenta; and Kashata, a crunchy peanutty candy. Hands-On Pizza Making Class with Chef Daniele Panella! In this class, you'll learn to make the perfect Italian pizza crust for both thick and thin styles. We will then make a Margherita Pizza with Basil, Tomato and Fresh Mozzarella; a Tex-Italian Pizza with Sausage, Jalapenos, Red Pepper, Onion and Oaxaca Cheese; and a tasty Nutella dessert pizza. However you serve it or say it, the most important thing about Mezze is what it means: it’s Arabic for sharing. And a good mezze platter lets you do just that! Faraday’s Class Cancellation Policy

We understand that life happens and emergencies do occur.  However, we also hope you understand our commitment to all of our students and the preparation that goes into creating a successful class.  For this reason, we ask that if you are unable to attend a class, you must notify us 72 hours in advance of the scheduled class time to receive a refund or credit towards another class.  Within 72 hours of a class, all cancellations are non-refundable (even if someone else gave this class to you as a gift).  If you cannot attend a scheduled class, we encourage you to send someone in your place.  In this case, please call ahead and notify us of the participant change. Reservations for groups of 5 or more require 7-day notice of cancellation for a refund.

Faraday’s Kitchen Store reserves the right to cancel classes. In that event, we will notify you and provide a full refund or credit. All classes are held in our store at 12918 Shops Parkway, Suite 540, Bee Cave, TX 78738.
