Faraday’s Kitchen Store Cooking School hosts both demonstration-style and hands-on Cooking Classes throughout the year supporting the Bee Cave, Lake Travis and Austin areas of Texas. Working in a modern, professional kitchen, you’ll be inspired by our talented, creative chefs who will demonstrate techniques and give you the skills needed to prepare simple, delicious meals at home. A light meal is provided with each class. 

Classes range from 12 to 14 students per class, and each space is sold in advance on a first come, first serve basis. If classes are full, we will be happy to add you to our waiting list. Most Classes are two hours in length, unless otherwise detailed within the class description.

If you have any dietary restrictions, please call us and ask if they can be accommodated BEFORE registering for class.  We cannot guarantee that chefs will be able to make last minute changes or cook separate portions for special needs.  

We still require during the cooking class that you wear a mask unless you are activity eating or drinking.

Warm Up with a Great Stew! Cooking Class with Adam Wiznewski. Stews are an easy and popular comfort food, prepared using a combined cooking method of dry and moist heat. In this lunchtime class, Cooking Coach Adam Wisnewski of Breakfast, Life, and Dinner takes you through the steps to learn the basic stewing technique, and then on to make Classic Beef Stew, Italian Seafood Stew, and Stewed Apple Dessert. The cost for this demonstration class is $59 per person.

The Ultimate Beef Wellington Class with Chef Heidi Wittenborn.
Quite a few foodies include Beef Wellington among their cooking ambitions. It's an amazing dish, but fraught with peril- overdone beef, soggy pastry, mushy filling. Success is all about TECHNIQUE. Do each step right and you'll be the hero of your own kitchen, with all your dinner guests singing your praises! For this class, Chef Heidi will be preparing individual Beef Wellingtons topped with a Red Wine Sauce and a few crumbles of Gorgonzola. A great Sauteed Spinach side dish completes this tour-de-force meal to impress your guests. The cost for this demonstration cooking class is $69 per person.

Sunday, January 30, 1-4 pm.
Hands-On Pasta Making Class with Chef Daniele Panella! You'll work in the kitchen with the chef to make two kinds of pasta with sauces. Menu for this class includes: Rabaton Alessandrini (ricotta dumplings, similar to gnudi or gnocchi), and Bowtie Pasta Boscaiola ("Woodman's Pasta", a classic Tuscan Italian sauce made with smoky bacon, earthy mushrooms, tomatoes and cream.) The chef will also prepare a delicious homemade Ricotta and Strawberry Parfait for dessert. When the cooking is done, you'll enjoy a family-style meal, and get all the recipes to take home with you. A Hawaiian Delight with Chef Demeatrie Funderburk! Follow your taste buds to the culturally diverse and mouthwatering cuisine of Hawaii! Chef Demeatrie, who went to Culinary School in Hawaii, brings us this tropical-infused menu of Hawaiian favorites. Your menu includes: Grilled Pineapple Skewers with Prosciutto and Chile Lime Glaze; Fire Roasted Chicken with Pomegranate Mustard and Spam Fried Rice; and for dessert, Taro Cake with Haupia Chantilly Cream. How to Bake Perfect Macarons with Pro Baker Madison Johnson! Let Baker Madi Johnson teach you the art and science of crafting the perfect Macarons! You might feel intimdated to make it yourself, but Chef Demeatrie will teach you that it's really quite simple to make this fantastic dinner! Brisket Class with Chef Kareem- How to make World-Class Texas Brisket on your Smoker! Chef Kareem El Ghayesh will teach you how to choose the right brisket at the store, how to prep, rub, cook, rest, and slice the perfect brisket. Menu includes: Prime Central Texas Style Brisket, Homemade Pickled Vegetables, and Egyptian-style Mac & Cheese. Cooking will be demonstrated on the Green Mountain Grill, but the techniques used can be applied to any smoker. The cost for this demonstration cooking class is $59 per person.

Life is Just a Bowl of Ramen! Cooking Class with Chef Heidi Wittenborn. Ramen is just the thing to warm you up on a cold winter's night. Come learn the basics of making a great bowl! Ramen is more a set of ingredients than a recipe. In Japan, ramen is very regional with the focus on local ingredients. You can take the basic components and techniques of Ramen (Tare, Soup, Noodles, Aroma Oil and Toppings) and build a bowl focused on the cuisine of your choice. (Tex-Mex or Texas German Ramen, or a bowl starring your favorite BBQ Brisket, anyone?) Come have fun learning the basics of Ramen, and then turn your imagination loose. Hands-On Pizza Making Class with Chef Daniele Panella. In this class, you'll learn to make the perfect Italian pizza crust for both thick and thin styles. We will then make a Margherita Pizza with Basil, Tomato and Fresh Mozzarella; a Tex-Italian Pizza with Sausage, Jalapenos, Red Pepper, Onion and Oaxaca Cheese; and a tasty Nutella dessert pizza. Faraday’s Class Cancellation Policy

We understand that life happens and emergencies do occur.  However, we also hope you understand our commitment to all of our students and the preparation that goes into creating a successful class.  For this reason, we ask that if you are unable to attend a class, you must notify us 72 hours in advance of the scheduled class time to receive a refund or credit towards another class.  Within 72 hours of a class, all cancellations are non-refundable (even if someone else gave this class to you as a gift).  If you cannot attend a scheduled class, we encourage you to send someone in your place.  In this case, please call ahead and notify us of the participant change. Reservations for groups of 5 or more require 7-day notice of cancellation for a refund.

Faraday’s Kitchen Store reserves the right to cancel classes. In that event, we will notify you and provide a full refund or credit. All classes are held in our store at 12918 Shops Parkway, Suite 540, Bee Cave, TX 78738.
