Faraday’s Kitchen Store Cooking School hosts both demonstration-style and hands-on Cooking Classes throughout the year supporting the Bee Cave, Lake Travis and Austin areas of Texas. Working in a modern, professional kitchen, you’ll be inspired by our talented, creative chefs who will demonstrate techniques and give you the skills needed to prepare simple, delicious meals at home. A light meal is provided with each class. 

Classes range from 12 to 14 students per class, and each space is sold in advance on a first come, first serve basis. If classes are full, we will be happy to add you to our waiting list. Most Classes are two hours in length, unless otherwise detailed within the class description.

If you have any dietary restrictions, please call us and ask if they can be accommodated BEFORE registering for class.  We cannot guarantee that chefs will be able to make last minute changes or cook separate portions for special needs.  

We still require during the cooking class that you wear a mask unless you are activity eating or drinking.

Hands-On Knife Skills Class! Join us as Chef Scarleth Aguilar teaches you to handle your knives like a pro. In this HANDS-ON 1-1/2 hour workshop, you’ll learn how to grip, chop, cut, slice, julienne, chiffonade, mince and more! You’ll also learn the best way to care for and maintain your knives. The cost is just $49 per person, and the knowledge you'll gain is priceless.

Hands-On Pizza Making Class with Chef Daniele Panella! In this class, you'll learn to make the perfect Italian pizza crust for both thick and thin styles. We will then make a Margherita Pizza with Basil, Tomato and Fresh Mozzarella; a Tex-Italian Pizza with Sausage, Jalapenos, Red Pepper, Onion and Oaxaca Cheese; and a tasty Nutella dessert pizza. You'll enjoy a family-style meal, and get all the recipes to take home with you. You'll definitely be as stuffed as a calzone when this class is over! Breakfast Around the World Class with Chef Adam Wiznewski. Join Chef Adam for a two-hour tour around the World, breakfast-style! Here's your menu: From India, we have Upma, a savory breakfast porridge made with semolina, spices, curry leaves and nuts. From Japan, Chawanmushi, or Steamed Egg Custard, and Miso Soup. The Secrets to Asian Sauces! Chef Uyen Pham will teach you the tricks to making some delicious Asian Sauces. Menu includes: Seared Tofu Satay, with Thai Satay Peanut Sauce; Vietnamese Chicken and Cabbage Salad, with Vietnamese Nuoc Cham Sauce; Wok Fired Yakisoba Noodles with Japanese Yakisoba Sauce; and Spicy Wings with Korean Barbecue Sauce. Brisket Class with Chef Kareem El Ghayesh. How to make World-Class Texas Brisket on your Smoker! Chef Kareem will teach you how to choose the right brisket at the store, how to prep, rub, cook, rest, and slice the perfect brisket. Menu includes: Prime Central Texas Style Brisket, Homemade Pickled Vegetables, and Green Chile Mac & Cheese. Cooking will be demonstrated on the Green Mountain Grill, but the techniques used can be applied to any smoker.  We will be taking special precautions due to COVID-19. A Taste of the Mediterranean with Chef Kareem El Ghayesh! Join Chef Kareem for a dinner of some of the many cuisines that come from the countries surrounding the Mediterranean. Your menu includes: Baba Ganoush Dip, served with warm toasted Pita Bread, a flavorful Moroccan Short Rib and Potato Tajine, and for dessert, Egyptian Bread Pudding, rich with spices, nuts and cream. Brunch like an Egyptian!
Join us for this special treat, as Chef Kareem El Ghayesh shows us how they brunch it up in his home country of Egypt! Tacos and Tex-Mex Class with Chef Kareem El Ghayesh! There's nothing like those evenings spent with friends at your favorite Tex-Mex joint. After this class with Chef Kareem, you'll be able to make a fiesta feast yourself at home! Menu includes: Breakfast Taco with Sausage, Eggs, Potato, Cheese and Homemade Salsa; Beef Fajita Tacos with Skirt Steak, Peppers and Guacamole; and for dessert, Flan! Join Chef Daniele Panella for a HANDS-ON Pasta Making class!
You'll work in the kitchen with the chef to make two kinds of pasta with sauces. Menu for this class includes: Ravioli Caprese, and Leek and Sausage Gnocchi. The chef will also prepare a delicious Strawberry and Ricotta Parfait for dessert. When the cooking is done, you'll enjoy a family-style meal, and get all the recipes to take home with you. The cost for this hands-on class is $69 per person.

Faraday’s Class Cancellation Policy

We understand that life happens and emergencies do occur.  However, we also hope you understand our commitment to all of our students and the preparation that goes into creating a successful class.  For this reason, we ask that if you are unable to attend a class, you must notify us 72 hours in advance of the scheduled class time to receive a refund or credit towards another class.  Within 72 hours of a class, all cancellations are non-refundable (even if someone else gave this class to you as a gift).  If you cannot attend a scheduled class, we encourage you to send someone in your place.  In this case, please call ahead and notify us of the participant change. Reservations for groups of 5 or more require 7-day notice of cancellation for a refund.

Faraday’s Kitchen Store reserves the right to cancel classes. In that event, we will notify you and provide a full refund or credit. All classes are held in our store at 12918 Shops Parkway, Suite 540, Bee Cave, TX 78738.
