The Wusthof Classic 8 inch Artisan Butcher Knife is designed and used primarily for cutting, sectioning, and trimming large pieces of meat. The heftier, wide blade works well for splitting and stripping meat to create smaller pieces that may need additional prep. The design of the blade is different than the carving knife or cleaver, which are designed with a smaller or thinner blade. The hollow-edge of this knife improves the separation of the sliced cuts of meat. Other features include a full tang and a triple riveted synthetic polypropylene handle that resists fading and discoloration. Limited Lifetime Warranty. Made in Germany.

It is recommended that you hand-wash your knives with warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse and dry the knives immediately after washing. We do NOT recommend using any knife but a German meat cleaver to cut through bones or frozen products, as other blades can easily be damaged. To best maintain the edge on your knife, you should follow a regular honing practice or maintain your blade with a recommended sharpener. Cutting on hard surfaces such as glass, stone or granite will damage blades. ALWAYS use caution when handling any knife.
